Hi,

I recently purchased my BenQ DVD player for the computer, and whenever I
play for about 5 mins straight, all sound drops out and I can only get it
back by closing my DVD software and loading it up agian.

Ive updated the firmware. Any other ideas???

Thanks
James

You might want to check your resources every few minutes while it's
playing. Run "Resource Meter" in Programs-Accesories-Systems Tools (
Win98 if you loaded it from OS install CD).

Did you check if there were any updates or patches for the software?
You could try another DVD player, such as the freeware VideoLAN;
http://www.videolan.org
Recent versions of Windows Media Player can play DVDs if another program
installs the required codecs (Windows ME came with a separate DVD player
which was then integrated with WMP).
