dvd keeps jumping and skipping

i have a matshita dvd rom sr-8584a dvd player when i go to play my dvd's it plays but jumps once the dvd starts
i think that i have the latest drivers and i have tried different programs to play the dvd but they still seem to make it jump even the media player does this
please help me solve this problem of my jumping dvd player
at the moment i am using windvd 4.

Is it just when the DVD first starts to play? I have noticed this happening
with lots of Software DVD players like WinDVD and PowerDVD so it isn't
unusual, try checking for the latest update to WinDVD if that is the case.
