I installed vista upgrade and cannot write a dvd. I get drive in use error E00040010.
I followed the hp upgrade instructions to the letter.
What could be locking my drive? Read is fine.

Peoples been warned about updating to Vista due to it still being buggy.
That's not help now however. If it was me, I'd uninstall Vista and go back
to my XP and see if that fixes it.

Whenever anything new comes out, you always find people with that point of
view.

I can only report my own experience. I've been running Vista Ultimate here
since November 18, and it's been completely stable and problem-free.

I did and it did thanks to Acronis DI image backup.
