dvd drive door will not open

i put a dvd in the dvd drive and tried to play it. i would not play and now
the drive door will not open. up until now i have not had any problem with
my dvd drive.
 
Sometimes the drive door will not open if Windows is continously trying to
read the dvd in the drive. Restart Windows and try the eject switch. If it
still does not open, the door may be locked or stuck.

Use a paper clip to force the drive door open through the emergency eject
hole. Remove the dvd and try using the dvd drive with a different dvd.
 
i have the same problem with my compaq presario m2031ap - since then i have
been also loosing power to my computer. i still have not been able to use my
dvd/cdrw - any suggestions
