what is a very good dvd copier software in the market these days? My
goal basically to copy easily my original DVDs to another DVD-+R so I
can see it in any DVD player. Have some fancy features is also good,
like if it can extract only music from movies, not putting any spam in
copy, etc. I am willing to pay but as you know the less I pay I am
happier :)what is my best bet?

Freeware wise, you can't do better than DVDDecrypter [already
mentioned] in combo with DVDShrink. For download links & further info,
and good tutorials on how to use, head over to www.videohelp.com or
www.afterdawn.com

Both are ~highly~ recommended!

Shareware-wise, I'd go with the cool combo from Slysoft www.slysoft.com

AnyDVD & Clone DVD.

Again, you'll find tutorials, etc at videohelp & afterdawn.

Note: if you'r backing up DVD's that are PAL when you can only play
NTSC, or your discs are Region 2 when you can only play Region 1, etc,
then the above tools will guide you through this process.

Finally, I'd really strongly suggest you NOT use DVD+R. Stick with
DVD-R. You'll see why if you search above sites for compatability, burn
errors & other problems with DVD+R.

Best, of course, is to buy a pack of DVD-RW's to experiment with, and
then erase if they don't work or if you no longer need the backups.

I highly recommend DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. If used correctly, there's
no way it should take that long. Both will write to your HDD first, if you
choose that option.

As Bob said, it shouldn't take as long as you indicated. Of course,
this depends on your CPU, memory, etc. And no other running progs, too.
On my xp2 4ghz, ripping a DVD to my HD takes maybe 20 min, tops.
Burning reconstituted DVD takes maybe another 20 min.

Suggestion: never, ever use those apps that read/write from one DVD
drive to another. This cloning/backup is a very intensive process and
doing so can quickly ruin your DVD drives. Also, the time-savings is
not really significant.
