DVD Codec

I want to find and install a DVD codec for WMP9 running Windows 2000, but all l found are uniquely for XP... why is there apparently little support for W2k?

A codec which would give just 2ch sound would be good...

http://www.freewindows.dk/fw/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=339 is the only codec l've found so far not for XP - however this codec activates a DVD decoder that works with W2k's resident (and amateur, clumsy...) DVD player and does not give a good enough quality GUI/functionment...

Expert knowledge appreciated very much! Tia...

Where are the MS moderators? You guys watch all these posts and know very well the solutions in most cases - l am not a newbie without a clue where to have first looked to resolve my problem, it is apparent support for DVD plugin's for XP exists and Microsoft still support Win2k - right???

Or do you want people with a bit of savvy to start posting replies in your NG's telling people to adopt Real Audio Player, WinAmp and third party players because you're not doing your job and supporting your customers???

You do know this word "support" - yes?!?!
