DVD/CD will not write

Upon installing MAS, I am no longer able to write to DVDs
and CDs. I have tried uninstalling MAS and this still
doesn't help. Any thoughts?

Mike,

Try reinstalling the burning software that you use.
Perhaps it was identified (correctly, or incorrectly) as
containing spyware.

If you dont use burning software, try booting into safe
mode and reloading the DVD driver. I don't know why this
would have happened, but it could help.

I too am having CD rom issues, but I don't think these
issues are related to each other.

After doing some updates at windows update, I had cd-rom
problems.
I got a new cd-rom and found that the jumper settings on
the back of the units were both set to cable select.
I then set one to master, and the other to slave.
My problems were then gone.
Maybe this will help you, I don't know for sure.
