Do you have iTunes installed? This commonly happens with thier software. A
solution would be to remove (uninstall) it and then download install the
most recent version from Apple.
It's generally not a BIOS problem unless the drive isn't being detected
correctly, or that cabling is loose. Reseating it may help as well.
