dvd burning using cd burner wizard

have a dvd burner in a machine running winxp pro sp1, and cant get the built
in windows burner to burn to dvd, will burn to cd fine but not to dvd. Dvd is
fine as can write with it using sonic software. Anyone got any ideas??? Cheers

Windows does not support DVD burning..only cd's. You have to use third
party software for that.
