DVD Backup on XP Pro

Hi,
I have a Sony DVD burner DRU-500A, running on XP Pro with
USB connection to a Dell laptop. When I try to copy files
to a DVD from Windows Explorer, I get a message that the
disk is not writable or full. Does drag-and-drop not work
for DVDs? The message comes when I am in CD writing wizard
after I select Write these files to CD.

Windows does not do drag and drop for optical media. You need third party
software for that.

I suggest trying to get some 3rd party software on your
machine. I use Nero and it works amazingly well. Try not
to use windows , use another programs.
