dv to dvd - steps and resolutions

I want to create DVD's from the DV tapes. I already have dvd +rw drive on my laptop and a dv camera with a fire wire. I also have the movie maker.

What are the steps ?
Can I create the wmv files first and then do the DVD thing from it ? I usually use 2.1Mbs.
Is this res. good enough for the DVD creation ? or What's the best res you can suggest

Hello, it is not very easy but also not difficult:
import your dv camara video as dv/pal and save it also
like that.
remember that the best image for dvd is 720x576
resolution. \TV is only 625x576
The file you have now is an *.AVI file, almost every DVD
burner program (nero, easy dvd creator or sonic) can burn
this as a video on DVD.
This takes time.
Remember that the file may not to big.
Most of the program will reconize this as time to large
for DVD.
