DV-AVI (NTSC) to HDD

Hello!

When I tried to save my video to HDD in DV-AVI format I had only NTSC DV-AVI
(NTSC) option. Using this I've got big enought file (like it should be), but
actually not a DV format - it looks like WMV with poor quality. I cheked
frames in this file - it's exactly not a DV, because in DV you should have
each frame compressed separatly, but I can see sequence of frames compressed,
like in MPEG-4? What's wrong?

DV-AVI is not compressed.
What program are you using to save and what settings.
Where is the video coming from..?

Strictly speaking dv-avi is a compressed format, but when working in dv-avi
no more compression takes place on std files, only slight amounts on frames
where transitions etc are used will very very very slightly deteriorate, but
not noticable by the human eye in normal circumstances.
If you could answer Nick's questions it would help to determine where the
problem lies.
Including the file format to start with.
