During bootup .................

During bootup, I don't see the Vista boot menu. I would like to try safe mode
so what key do I press during bootup so that the Vista boot menu appears?

hit F8 during boot :

presents the menu with SafeMode,last Known Good, and so on.

Safe Mode and Boot Menu are 2 different things.
Safe mode is where you can do work on your OS by putting it into a state
where only the basic drivers are being used.

Normal Desktop to Safe Mode=Racehorse to Draughthorse for speed.


Boot menu: hit F2 or F12, but check the screen as below
When you 1st turn on your power, you will see it at the bottom of the screen
for a second.


You obviously know NOTHING, so leave it alone!
