Duration of WinXP boot up icon

Hello guys
I would like to know what is the normal duration of the appearance of
the WinXP boot icon during the start up.
Which should be longer the appearance of the blank screen or the
appearance of the XP Icon?
I had observed that its not the same in every WinXP run PC. Therefore
there should be a bench mark to check, as that will indicate if right
at the start there is some abnormality in your or someone else PC...
Or does this makes the difference, if there is a long time lag before
the XP boot icon disappears?

Each machine will be somewhat different for a lot of good reasons.

I just noticed that my PC takes about a minute for that ...my work pc
only took half that long, my colleagues pc about 35 seconds,
So,,... its not an abnormality of that XP icon display takes longer?

What are the competing hartdware specifications -CPU capacity, RAM etc?

What software is scheduled to load when booting? Is there software loading
which does need to load on booting?

How well is the computer maintained? Disk CleanUp, Defragmenting etc. Good
maintenance does NOT include using a Registry Cleaner or installing
optimisers etc.

You can only really make sure that the computer works efficiently to achieve
the optimum performance of the available computer hardware.This can be
improved where for example the limited quantity of available RAM is a
bottleneck.

Make sure there are no unnecessary errors and warnings in Event Viewer.

Have a look in the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for Errors
and Warnings and post copies here. Don't post any more than 48 hours ago.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer.Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

BTW does the tune up tools ( like tune up utilities 2009slow down the
PC)?
Regarding the event viewer I can’t access as it’s not found in my
administrative tools but only the short cut for the netframework 2.
Mind if you tell me how to put that event viewer there?

RAM, CPU type?
Does not make sense to me as the workplace Pc is just Celeron type
with DDR 256Ram my PC is Pentium M 780 2.26ghz, with 2 gig DDR2 ram .
therefore hardware configuration is out of the question… the work
place pc boots up faster than mine.

Software, Adobe Gamma, Adobe reader,Internet Explorer, Microsoft
Outlook, Orbit downloader, Statease Design Expert.
Work Pc software loading, almost the same…

MY PC is regularly cleaned up, defragged,

Well mine with full RAM capacity shows bottleneck if compared to the
inferior pc of my workplace….

Well I can’t check that out as I can access Event viewer as its not in
my administrative tools but only the Microsoft Net framework 2
shortcut.

Any ideas how to put Event viewer in my PC? Thanks >

In the past I was told about the same way but when I experienced using
their latest version the 2009 it changed my perspective about this
tool, as its totally unlike any other systems tools that I have used.
To tell you those two pc in my workplace which I used for bench mark
are also using the Tune up2009 and it really sure improved the pc's
performance.
I am also against using it at first by seeing how this utility it
does it stuff really changed my perspective and installed it in my pc
also.
Its is a comprehensive PC optimization tool, much better than
competition that I have tested in the past.

Therefore I can't attribute this problem Tune up utilities 2009.
There is only one culprit of my problem , that bungled Sp3 upgrade
installation and that is what I want to sort out.
