If this is in the wrong place my apologies.

I am trying to find a way to roll multiple account numbers up so tha
they may be eliminated from reports.

Example:

M09454000
M23423423
M09454000
M45645677
M78787878

ETC.....

Running down a column I want to be able to identify where the duplicat
is at so that it may be removed. Thank you in advance for all of you
hel

Duri,

=COUNTIF(A:A,A3)>1
This will tell you which are duplicated, but doesn't tell where they are.

If you sort on the column, then put this in row 2 and copy down (the values
are in column A for this formula), you'll get an indication for the dups:
=IF(A2=A1,"Dup","")
Conditional formatting could also be used

Chip Pearson has a macro to remove dup rows at www.cpearson.com.
