I have a number of spreadsheets that contain several thousand rows of data about 8 columns wide. I need to delete all duplicate items, leaving the originals and have the number of each duplicate reported next to the original.

Expressed another way if I have 10 rows of data (out of the thousands) that contain the same content in all cells, the result should be one row of data with the number 10 entered in the next cell. Keep in mind there may be multiple rows that have duplicates, such as ten rows with Jane and eight rows with John.

Any help would be appreciated.
