Duplicate Personal Folders Outlook 2003

B

Bill Smith

Hi,

I'm trying to recover from replacing a M/Board & HDD.
Trying to get software running again is causing some
headaches. I have copied the previous "PST" file into the
new directory. All seemed to be going well, now after re-
opening Outlook, I have duplicate Personal Folders.
Functionality wise, Outlook works and I could live with
it, but I link to ACT!, and ACT! does not like seeing two
Personal Folders. Does anyone know how to remove the
duplicate, or is there a better way to have recovered the
data? I tried importng, but there was no option to import
Outlook into Outlook. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks

Anthony

For Outlook 2003, it would actually be easier just to create a new mail
profile and delete the old one -- this solves the duplicate problem and the
user doesn't have to edit the registry.
