I recently bought an ipod, which made copies of all my WMA into MP3 files,
but i messed it up so started again....and the programme copied all my files
again...so now i haved several copies of each song, some in WMA and some MP3
but they all seem to have the same files location. Is there a smart way to
delete the duplicates? (so far ive had to delete them one by one ...only
11000 togo)

If you still have access to the original WMA files (not on the iPOD)
it might be easier to simply remove all from the iPOD and start over,
this time do it right.

how can i delete the duplicates? Ive got two WMA of every song. with the same
file name in the same place.

i have access to the orignal WMA but theres two of each and i dont know how
to seperate and delete all teh songs with out losing all of them

Temporarily copy one of each WMA file to another folder - you can make
a copy of each at once by clicking on the first one, holding down your
Control key and clicking on each in turn - when all the WMA files are
highlighted, copy them over to the new folder.

After the WMA files are safely copied to the new folder you may then
delete everything else. You should now have just one copy of each WMA
file to move to your iPOD.

You can use Abee Mp3 Duplicates Finder to find and delete dupes at your
computer.

This program also can detect just similar songs and remixes.
I have bought this brogram few days ago and I am very glad.
I found a lot of duplicates at my hard disk that spent a lot of space.
I didn't suppose that I had so many mp3 duplicates.

Hi,

Try NoClone. NoClone finds and removes not just duplicate wma but
duplicate mp3, photos and any type of files. Shecompares duplicate files
based on file contents regardless of file name, she compares file byte
by byte. Unique time-saving Smart Marker filters duplicates for
removal. Preview images and flexible removal/archival options.

P.S. it is recommended to move duplicate files to a temporary folders
for archival before removal.
