The usual cause is an antivirus program scanning mail. If you have
configured your AV program to scan mail, completely uninstall it and
reinstall it without the mail scanning feature. You will be just as
protected.

No antivirus set for the mails, no rules set to move to folders.

What is your send/receive interval and your server timeout value?

this is happening only for one person. might be some setting changed while
drafting. plz let me know whats wrong.. i need to stop this immediately.

If this happens for only the single individuals address, then the problem is
more likely to be at the receipients end, and not with Outlook on your PC

Could you please let me know what might be the problem in the receipients
end, so that i will help him to rectify it.

Well if he is using Outlook and has any intergrated anti virus, or other
scanning software, perhaps the first thing to do would be uninstall these
apps (Disabling any AV process doesnt necessarily kill it within Outlook)
He could also open Outlook using the Safe switch then test (outlook.exe
/safe entered in the run command)

No idea abt the time out values. where can i find them??

While viewing your Inbox, press Alt-Ctrl-S to find the send/.receive
interval value. The server timeout value is on the Advanced tab of your
account properties. I can't tell you exactly how to find that because you
don't mention your Outlook version.
