Duplicate file removal

Duplicate files (such as .dll) are known to be detrimental and are easily
identified by Zap.exe, System Mechanic, etc. However, when files have the
same size, date and even attribute, what priority should there be in removal
or retention? For example, are files with "i386" in the path better retained
than files with "uninstall" in the path? Put another way, if there is a
cluster of four or five seemingly identical files but with somewhat
different paths, how does one optimize the deletion selection?
Thanks to all for help with this!

NoClone uses different but safe approach to identify duplicate files.
It compare files byte by byte so the duplicate files returned are
exactly the same, it's utmost safe to delete.
