duplicate emails

I have been getting a lot of duplicate emails from the same sender, by that
I mean that they come at the same time often two or more. same content, same
subject, same size, etc. this has really got me puzzled. can anyone think of
what could be a cause for this. I sure wood like to get to the bottom of
this. if the fault is with the sender, I sure will let them know.

Frequently when I see that happen it's due to anti-virus software scanning
the e-mail and burping out occasional duplicates. Are you using
Norton/Symantec Anti-Virus by any chance?

I have one user who has a similar problem. Only it is a variety of senders,
both internal and external to our organization.

I've tried Detect and Repair, Scanpst.exe, and even completely removing and
reinstalling Office Suite.

Last thing I tried was allowing Outlook XP to create new a new account, and
I copied the users data folders to the new pst and set it to the default.
So far, so good. It's been about a week with no problems.
