Duplicate Emails since adding a Blackberry

Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn't find any helpful suggestions
in all the other "duplicate emails" posts.

I am using Outlook 2007 & Windows XP Home with all service packs installed.
I check 3 e-mail accounts through Outlook, and have always had them set up to
leave a copy of messages on the server for 2 days, since I occasionally check
them from home as well or via the web interface.

Last week I got a Blackberry for the first time, and successfully set up all
3 accounts there as well. Ever since, all incoming e-mails are duplicated in
Outlook, even though they are only sent once to the phone. Its almost as if
the phone checking prompts the mail server to resend the e-mails to Outlook
again too. I tried unchecking the "leave a copy on server" boxes, but then I
only get them on the phone or in Outlook, not in both.

Anyone have any ideas on what to try next?

I am having the same problem with my new Blackberry. I have to uncheck the
command to save messages on the server to prevent the message from arriving
in duplicate.
I am also having another related problem - if I leave my lap top turned on
with Outlook closed none of me email is routed to my Blackberry because
Outlook continues to run in the background. Is there a way to prevent
Outlook from running in the background when my system is turned on?
