duplicate email messages

Hi Guys,

I read the earlier email messages, and there was more drama then solutions.

Senerio:

Anyhow, let me tell you my senerio. I have Outlook 2003 with the latest
updates from the microsoft office update website. I am running windows xp pro
with service pack 2. I have two accounts. I have an msn account and I have a
yahoo account. Periodically my yahoo email account which is a pop3 protocol,
would redownload all my email messages that was stored on my yahoo email
server. I have checked the box to keep emails on the server and also i have
checked the box below that keeps it for x amount of day then deletes from the
yahoo mail server. I have also check the box that say delete any email that
is in the put in the delete folder. I also have tons of rules. All those
rules does is just sorts out my email in different folder. For example, all
my friends account goes to my friends folder and all my business associate
emails goes to my business associate folder. I have also have spam blocker.
The name of the software is inboxer. I am also running norton system works
premiere 2005 which has norton anti-virus software also checking every email
for viruses on my pop3 (yahoo) and my MAPI(msn) email account. I also have
outlook connector installed my outlook.

QUESTION:
1. Why does my default email keep changing back to msn email account when i
keep changing the default email to my yahoo account.

2. Once in awhile my pop3 email account gets duplicate emails. I have set
my email to check automatically every minute.

3. Sometimes it will copy my entire email from the yahoo email server. that
is like 1600 emails. I had to sit there and manually delete them Can anyone
figure that one out.

4. Lately i have been bombarded with spam. Do you guys know why.

One minute is way too short and can cause this problem. The recommended
time is no less than ten minutes.

Because the SPAMmers can? Because your address has been placed in a public
forum somewhere? Any number of reasons come to mind.

I got the case when Outlook 2003 was downloading all the messages every
time I was conneting to POP3

In my case it was corrupted message, after the hotfix installation
outlook will point you to it: it will download all duplicates again but
will crush on specific message/block.

I was downloading my messages 50 in a time, manually aborting
Send/Receive and restarting it again. I have over 3600 real messages
and finally find block of 10 where Outlook would get an error and start
download duplicates (starting duplicates from failure point)every time
you restart Outlook or click on Send?Receive

I deleted 10 suspects and never have duplicates since.
