Duplicate Desktop on Taskbar

Somehow I got the whole Desktop (all Icons) on my Taskbar. It's like having
duplicate Desktops, one on my screen and the other on the Takbar. If I
delete (right clicking on icon and seleecting "Delete") one of the Descktop
Icons from my Taskbar it also gets deleted from the "real" Desktop on my
display screen. How do I get my system back to normal with only a single
Desktop?

Right click on the Taskbar and go to toolbars, and click on desktop. That
will uncheck it and close it form the taskbar.
