Dump of Physical Memory

Ally128

I just recently installed Windows 2000 Professional on my
computer. Since then, I have tried to upgrade from IE 5
to IE6, I have also tried to install my new printer, but
everytime I do this, my computer gets a blue screen and
this message. Stop: 0x0000009C (0x00000001, 0x00000000,
0xB2000000, 0x00000115) MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION.
Beginning dump of physical memory and then reboots. I am
also having problems when I click on a link in a website
or help in an application, the new window does not come up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ally,

What kind of computer do you have? (i.e. Dell, Compaq). This error is not
an error in Windows, but an error with your hardware. Basically the
processor detects a hardware problem and reports it to Windows, which
displays the STOP message.

To resolve the issue, I would contact the manufacturer of your computer for
a BIOS update. If the BIOS update doesn't correct the problem, you will
need to have your computer tested for faulty hardware.
