I don't think it's a dumb question, I've asked myself that many times. But
I guess my best guess would be 'Xtra Performance', since that's basically
what it's supposed to be made for...

A relatively short lived illusion eXpreniced until your next reinstall and
you realize your data is gone and your left with the dust bunny collection
surrounding your hardware.

Not really a good example if you're trying to get in a "dig" at xp.
If by some chance you have to reinstall and you some how do lose your data,
you simply reload it from your current backup. If you don't backup and you
lose data, then you're just as much to blame as whatever caused the data
lose.

I've heard it stands for Xanthus Picarious, the name of planet
that was the home of the alien space ship from which it was
harvested.

Have you been brainwashed, Phil?

lol

LOL! That's the most creative one I've read so far.

Dang, and all I could find was: Xanthus Farm, Inc. - A thoroughbred horse
breeder. Will e-mail Rosie from the Jetson's.

Nope, just deal with a lot of customers that don't backup their data and
then when they lose it except me to call the data fairy and bring it back.
Or they want me to format their drive and not lose any info, but don't have
that info backed up anywhere, so I have to do it for them. Of course I can
charge more, but it's just such a pain, usually requires several calls to
the customer to make sure you got everything....... usually more of a hassle
than its worth. A customer who backs up will save money and hassle.

Now, is that for a pleasant or an unpleasant eXPerience?????

Oh yeah. If a person works on computers for a living, I suspect
that the XP eXPerience gives them great pleasure. The person who
owns the computer and has to pay for updating, troubleshooting, or
repairing, now that person may find the XP eXPerience to be rather
unpleasant

I work on computers for a living and yes they are fun for me. I also get a
lot of pleasure out of driving my mustang, but I don't know jack about
fixing it. I can change the oil or alternaters or batteries, but that's
about it. I pay someone alot of money to fix and build my car, but it still
gives me great pleasure to use it. So my point is, you don't have to be a
expert computer tech to get a great eXPerience.
