Dual Monitors

I recently saw someone with two monitors connected to a single computer drag
a window from one monitor to the other.
Is there a resouce I can access that will instruct me on how to set this up
and do it.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Being able to drag a window from one
monitor to the other is normal if you have two monitors, and there's nothing
special you need to do.

Or do you want to know how to create a two monitor setup? First, you need a
video card that supports two monitors (or two compatible video cards). Plug
in the two monitors, start Windows, right-click on the desktop, choose
Properties, and configure the second monitor there.

As a minor addendum to Ken's information, many middle/upper end laptops will allow the use of an external monitor in dual monitor mode.

As an addendum toBill's info, there are pcmcia video cards that will also
provide dual screen capability for laptops. Also, Dell Latitude C series
with a C-Dock II docking station has 2 PCI slots which can be used for video
cards. In fact you can put 2 dual head video cards into a C-Dock II and
attach 4 monitors if you really need a lot of video real estate.

With nVidia cards you can setup the two monitors a couple of ways.

What you are referring to is call DualView with nVidia. ATI has
something similar. I like the way nVidia handles 2 monitors, but that's
just my personal preference.
