Dual Monitor Problem w/ Games and Videos

A

Right now I'm really not sure what the problem is, but I'm running a
monitor DualView setup with nVidia FX 5950. For the most par
everything works ok - I can watch a movie, play game, or anythin
else on either monitor but I can't do one on each.

Anytime I run a full screen app like a game on my primary monitor, th
video on monitor 2 (which is actually a TV) goes out. I can still se
the media player and I still have sound for the video, but the actua
video itself goes black. If I add a tag to the shortcut for the gam
it will run in windowed mode, and then the game and the video bot
run simultaneously just like I want. Unfortunately the mouse is n
longer locked to the game screen... and that makes it so hard t
control the game it's unplayable. So, I was hoping anyone knew a wa
to fix either scenario

a.) A way to keep the game full screen and still have video on my 2n
monitor

b.) A program or whatever that could lock the mouse to the game windo
when I run it in windowed mode

Any help would be much appreciated

I believe that both screens need to be using the same vertica
resolution. In my case, I am running 2560x1600 on my main screen an
1200x1600 on my secondary. The secondary screen is rotated 90º. Whe
I start up a full-screen 3D game and the resolution I am using in th
game is anything different than 2560x1600, the second screen shift
to the right and everything looks wierd. If for whatever reason
cannot play the game at 2560x1600, I change to 1280x800 on the mai
and 600x800 on the secondary. Everything lines up and looks good

I suspect that since you are using a television for your secondar
screen, you resolutions do not match vertically.

When you jump in to a 3D game at a resolution of 1024x768, exactl
what happens to the applications you have dragged to your secondar
screen?

Do they shift to the right and you see some of your desktop icons o
does everything stay put?

Is your video going black in your media player the only thing tha
happens

What are the resolutions you are using for both screens

How are you connected to both screens (VGA, DVI, S-Video)
