Dual Layer DVDs...

Dual Layer DVDs - does this mean if i buy a 8.5GB DL DVD Rewriter, i can burn 8.5GB onto a 4.7GB DVD+-R/RW? Or do i need special discs?

You will need dual layer discs,

I haven't seen many of these, google it and you will find some 8GB discs around

Do DVDs that burn at 4x speed work on a TV DVD Recorder? TDK claim it might damage the recorder if it does not support 4x speed, which obviously it doesn't support!
