Dual Domain & Default user problems

Steve Brown

Hi everyone,

Windows 2000 Pro SP4

Right now, we have about 600 users separate in 2 domains. Let's call them,
for example, A.ca and B.ca

Everything is set up so that if a PC is on domain A.ca, a user with an
account on domain B.ca can login on the workstation and get his own Login
script (and vice-versa - if the PC is on B.ca and the user is on A.ca).

No matter which domain the PC is on, any user can login on their own
domain, be authenticated, and get their own Login Script.

In order to save us time when we configure a user profile on a workstation
for a new user, we decided to create a default user profile which we use to
overwrite win2k's default user in the documents & settings folder.

Now here's my problem: When a PC is on one domain and a user from the other
domain logs onto the workstation, the user gets authenticated but doesn't
get the Login Script. If the user account is on the same domain as the PC
then there's no problem. And, the only users having the problem are the
ones using a PC that we have configured with our Default User profile.

Please Help

Thanks
