I have a A8V Deluexe with WinXP SP2
I added some more Ram, I had 512 and added 512.

It say's in the book where to put them (which slot), but it say's for DUAL
CHANNEL, put them here. Does that mean for the 32 plus 32 bit = 64 bit I
have, or does that mean for Dual Output Video cards ?

You need a matching pair for dual channel or you can only populate DIMM_B1.
You have therefore achieved NOTHING with your purchase.

Expensive lesson BUT it may pay to read the manual first or to know what you
are doing.

You put one pair of chips in the blue slots as one pair of dual channel
memory. the memory chips must be ones that ASUS has approved. So, DIMM
A1 get a module and DIMM B1 gets the other chip. It is all in the MOBO
manual Page 2-11 and on.

No, it refers to how the motherboard can access "matched dual-channel"
memory when placed in specific slots. Apparently, the speed of access if
greatly improved over simply having two non-matched sticks in any old slot.
