i am confussed with the terms system and boot partitions. In my Hd i created two patitions c: and f: of 10gb each one. with w2k both in c: as in f:. Now i want to install wxp in a new g: partition. My question is , which one is my system partition and which is my boot partition? If wxp is installed, will its bootloader be installed in my c: drive? what happen with my w2k?

The system partition is the one that contains the actual OS files. The boot drive contains the NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM and the like. This is usually the C: drive.
