Dual boot: XP and Windows 2000

L

Lonny

I had XP installed on Partition C and then installed 2000
on Partition D setting up a dual boot. 2000 works fine,
XP give this error message:

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file
is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMd
startup options for Windows 2000, press F8.

I started in Recovery Console and ran FIXBOOT, did not
help.

Any suggestions to fix this file... systemd?

THANKS!!!

Installing Win2K _after_ WinXP replaces WinXP's system files
(BOOT.INI, NTLDR, & NTDETECT.COM) with Win2K's older versions, which
cannot recognize the newer WinXP as a valid OS.
