Dual Boot Windows XP & Windows XP

Is a dual boot system with two copies of Windows XP supported by Microsoft?
What are the licensing implications of the dual boot system. does each
instance need a separate License?

Hi Simmo

The EULA states:

"Installation and use. You may install, use, access,
display and run one copy of the Product on a single
computer, such as a workstation, terminal or other device
("Workstation Computer")".

To me that means if a 2nd copy of XP is to be installed on a 2nd partition on the same PC, then a 2nd XP CD has to be purchased. It is possible to install XP a second time - from one CD - onto a different partition on the same PC, but is it legal?

Unless you wish to make Microsoft more rich than they are, just go
ahead and do it. The EULA (the MS EULA) seems to say that you must
purchase two licenses which is nonsense. Go to the following web
site and read up before you decide:
