On booting up, my bios shows a selection for 2 Windows XP's.
Both are the same, how do I get rid of this prompt screen so that it
can continue to boot up automatically?

Search for the boot.ini file, open with Notepad, delete the second entry &
save.

Within WinXP:
1) Start>Run and type msconfig then click OK.
2) Select the Boot.ini tab
3) Select "Check all boot paths"
4) An option to delete invalid paths. Select Yes.

Hope this helps!

Gary,

Just a question here. If they both point to the same installation, wouldn't
they both be "valid"?

Just for grins, I tried it. It said there were no invalid entries :-)

I didn't grin, just bit the bullet and tried it-worked like a charm,
THANX to u both. I did have an invalid entry and it took it out for me.
Cheers-Herb.
