Hello Sandra!

someone told me that i've to modify Boot.ini on my C drive
but i dont know how to modify it
please help me to fix this problem
i dont wana see that windows selection screen again
plesase & thanks

First check if you see all files:

Explorer, Tools, Folder options..., View, uncheck "Hide protected operating
system files (recommended)" and also activate "Show hidden files and
folders"

After that you find in C:\ a file is called boot.ini

Double click this file. A new notepad window will open. Delete the line with
Windows 2000. Save the file. If you want you can undo the changes with the
protected operating system files and hidden files and folders.

Be aware that you don't delete any other entry in the boot.ini

Since Win98 doesn't use the boot.in file, what is necessary to
just be able to delete this file?

Hello Saga!

Huch, i don't know. Windows 98 is not my part. This question is asked better
in a Windows 98 Group.

Sorry!

Not a problem... thanks anyway.
I wish I had an extra PC and time to fiddle and experiment, since I
have donde installs with Win 2K and 98SE, but I have never had
to remove any of them<g>

That is interesting. I'll keep it in mind if I have the chance to
try it out. (See my response to Peter<g>)

Thanks!
