Dual Boot / Partition Magic type freeware?

Speaking of data loss, when you say one can resize Fat32 and NTFS partitions
with BootitNG, does this mean *without* data loss?

Yes, it does.

BootItNG is rather off-topic, since it is not freeware, however it can
be used as a partition manager without installing at all and so far
has not given me any trouble at all.
