DSL connection problems

I have a problem ever since installing SP2. I use Verizon DSL, with a
Westell 2200 modem. I have replaced the modem and cables, so that's not the
problem. I connect to the modem through a Microsoft wireless router. I have
the problem even when the router ethernet connection is bypassed by
connecting the computer directly to the modem.

I turn my computer off at night. When I turn it back on in the morning, I
get a message that, "a network cable us unplugged." So every morning, I have
to hit the restart icon and, upon rebooting, the connection is fine. My
laptop, running Millenium, which is connected through the wireless router is
able to access the internet without any problems.

Any ideas?

Michael,

Will do! How do I find that newsgroup? I have not been able to find the
"public" section anywhere. I'm new to newsgroups of any kind and the
navigation on this site sure isn't intuitive.
