dropdown menus in Peachtree Complete Accounting 2004

Any dropdown menu item, drops down but when you move the
mouse pointer into menu area - the menu collapses. Using
XP Pro and MS wireless optical mouse (also does same with
touch pad). Also, when menu drops - you can use arrow keys
and input info and hit enter but not mouse in menu
box.What gives?
 
Is your version of Peachtree up to date, have you checked their website for
the latest updates, have you contacted their tech?
