Drop down list indicator

Can't seem to get the dropdown indicator to display, when I pass the mouse
over the cell, for a drop down list located on another spreadsheet. This
worked a few day ago. I've tried everything I can think of.

1) Are you sure that this was for a WorkSheet Data Validation Drop-Down Arrow ?
2) Could it be a "Comment" that you refer to ?
3) What version are we talking about ?

If a DV dropdown you must select the cell.

Hovering or passing over will not show the arrow so don't know how it worked
a few days ago.

As I don't know how this can be done.
Will be glad to learn.
Until then I'll wait with you for a solution.

I misspoke. When selecting the cell the dropdown arrow does not display. I
have an identical Data Validation on the other workbiooks and it works fine.,
Somehow it doesnt work on one workbook that was created from a template
which is working fine.

Well, well, well....
If you will read again all you posts you'll realize that "Misspoke" is, in
this case, an understatement !
As you preferred to keep the information about the version for yourself -
I'll explain how this can be cured in "2003":
Goto to menu 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'View' tab > 'Objects' section > check
'Show all'.

Kudos. That was it. 2007 - Office Logo, Excel Options, Advanced, Under
Display Options for this worksheet, Show All.

Thanks again...
