Can someone confirm whether Windows XP Professional is capable of at least
READING Drive Space 3 compressed volume files on large capacity removeable media
with such compressed volume? I am upgrading a Win-98SE system to Win XP Pro and
have a number of large capacity removeable media (not optical discs) that have
Drive Space 3 compressed volumes. Thanks for any help.

Not even capable!

NO, it can not. You must convert the files back to a standard format volume
first.
