Drivers for Primax Colorado 9600 scanner

I cannot get my scanner to work with Windows XP even
though I have downloaded drivers.
XP will not load them
Any ideas

I was forced, eventually, to ditch my much loved Colorado. I have heard
some say they got it working, but sadly I wasn't one of them.
