driver_irql_not_less_or_equal: Solution?

Have suddenly run into a nasty situation. My PC suddenly
kept crashing over and over again, with the above error.
No new hardware was installed, only thing that may have
caused the issue is an installation from MapSource
(Garmin - iQue)which crashed. Reinstalling is impossible
because the installer says the software is already
installed and needs to be uninstalled first. But, the
installation did not get far enough for the software to be
listed under programs. So, uninstall is impossble.
Does anyone have any idea how to cure this issue?
Is anyone aware of software that can "clean up" or
software that can evaluate drivers on compatibility?
Help is greatly appreciated.
 
I would contact the vendor for this product and ask them how to manully
remove the software. Let them know it is Blue Screening your machine and
they should be able to provide the neceesary files/registry locations to
remove.
