have downloaded updated driver for Visioneer 8600 scanner
and followed directions printed from the visioneer
support site. However my new Dell with XP cannot find my
scanner. Any suggestions.
 
Try logging on as the administrator and installing the driver. Don't
install PaperPort. Just download the Visioneer files. I used both 8600 and
8820 with XP and both worked fine. Besure you have total removed the
previous driver installations before reinstalling.
