Does anyone know of any freeware programs to update general drivers on my P.C.
Thanks

You don't need to "update" the "general drivers" on your PC. As for
"specific drivers" on your PC, visit the website of the hardware
manufacturer for the drivers for their products. They are all "free".

Why do you want to update drives? That should only be done if there is a
problem that the new driver is supposed to correct, or it has some must have
new feature. Otherwise leave things be if they are working.

I'm not sure what you mean by "general" drivers. Drivers are specific for
each hardware device. If you must update a driver go to the device
manufacturer's web site if it's a retail device, to the compute OEM's web
site if it's manufactured by one of the large OEM's such as DELL or HP, or
the motherboard manufacturer's web site if it's an on board device.

Never get drive updates from the windows update site unless it's for an MS
manufactured device.
