driver update?

Hi how do you know when a driver update is
needed. On windows updated it says I have 3
driver updates but everything is working fine
when do I know if I need to update a driver.
Do not want to mess things up. Have wxp and
sp1 and all critacal updates Thanks for any
info.
 
Old saying, "When it ain't broke, don't fix it." If you are not having any
issues, leave things well enough alone. If the system starts to crash,
lockup, etc. then drivers are one of the things you need to check.
