driver problems

i have recently bought a rio carbon MP3 player, my computer will not
recognise the device and says there are no drivers installed

i have installed it on another computer and it uses the windows driver
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\USBSTOR.SYS , I have located this driver on my
computer but it wont use it, i have tried to update the driver but have hit a
stumbling block

please help!!!!!!! wanna listen to some tunes!!!!!!

Just need to reinstall/update your chipset (motherboard) drivers. What
is the make and model of your computer or motherboard? You can use
Everest Home from www.lavalys.com to find out and it should even provide
a link to the latest drivers for your computer :)

it is a compac presario 2100 laptop, i assume i just download the everest
home edition and run it then it will point me towards the updates????? Is it
nothing to do with XP??
