Driver problem

Hey I have a cam that used to work fine, but since
restarting my pc from scratch everytime I try to instal
it my pc crashes after switching for a second to a blue
screen with white writting. (no time to read it before my
pc goes off)

when I send an error report it says that the problem is
unknown but is probably caused by the driver.

Before managing to eventually instal the cameras driver I
had to try to manually instal it, and was told there were
no USB ports available, even though I have 4. Now that
the driver is installed every time I boot windows I am
told that new hardwear has been found, but when I try to
instal it the crashing happens. There are no driver
updates for my cam, and as I said it has worked perfectly
before. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help anyone could give me
Al

You may need to do the reinstall of the OS again.
Sometimes things happen - better known as shit.

Do it clean - I never trust a repair.

The cam mfg.would help.
Try going to ADM.,event viewer, chk the events for errors,
warnings, leading up to the crash.Usually,if you uninstall
all for the cam,add/remove,then also in device mgr.,resta
rt computer, back on desktop,go to windows update,if its
xp compatable update will install it for you.
