driver integration without oem floppy

Is there a way to integrate drivers for drive controllers
in XP's .inf files so that drivers get installed in the
very first phase of setup from an XP bootable setup cd?
I'm using a Promise FastTrak100 TX2 and I don't want to
have to use an OEM driver floppy all the time. I'd
rather just integrate the drivers into the installation.
I've already made a bootable setup cd with SP1 and Update
Rollup 1 slipstreamed into the installation.

To my knowledge, nobody has yet gotten the txtsetup.oem stuff working
with CD-ROM based XP installs.

If you are willing to switch to a network-based install, you can make
this work; I do this all the time. See:

How/where does Microsoft put the info for the SCSI/RAID
drivers that load at the start of setup?

I was hoping to still maintain an interactive install
rather than using unattended (in case I change some
components in my system).
