Driver for Media Card Reader

I have a 8 in 1 Card Reader by Digital Concepts that is susposed to be
recognized automatically by Windows XP. When I connect it up to a USB port it
is recognized but as soon as I restart my computer it is no longer
recognized? What can I do so I don't have to keep connecting and
disconnectiing this card reader?

Note. I have not installed Windows XP SP 2 yet and am operating with SP1.
Could this contribute to the problem?

Look 4 problems @ Device Manager > USB.

Think most use W drivers. 3 of mine do.

Raymond SCD came with Reader but only to be used for Windows 98, 2000, and
95. Manufacturer says just plug reader in for Windows XP. Whuch I did but it
only works the first time. After that you have to plug in again and again and
so on -- what to do? HTH-Larry, You say it works on your cvomputer? Do you
have SP 2 installed on your Windows XP?

Check in Device Manager -->USB --> Root hubs. Look at the Power otpions and
uncheck "Let Windows power down the ...". If Windows decides to turn the
power off for the portm this may be your problem.
